This is one of my favorite photos of all time.
“I am walking away from him,” he confesses.
Walking away is the exact thing the other side wants. Instead of walking away, you need to take the hit.
If you asked the normal person how many moments in their life they vividly remember, I mean vividly remember, I would bet that no more than a few will come to mind.
I often wonder to myself what have I accomplished in my five decades of life. Then I realize that I’m unconditionally taking care of five souls in this world. That’s what I want to do. That’s who I want to be. That’s who I am. That ain’t nothing.
Everyone can use a little awe in their lives.
One of her most valuable possessions in her life was a letter from me letting her know that I appreciated her and the way that she brought me up.
And that was a great feeling.

I no longer look at my birthday as the point of reference as to when I truly became alive in the timeline of my life.
