At a commencement address, John Green recently gave he asked all the people in the audience to sit in silence and think about the people in their lives who made that moment possible.
He then said to the audience, “Let me submit to you that this is the definition of a good life. You want to be the kind of person other people will think about in their own silence.”
I realize that it was the silence that whispered Bill’s name in my ear.
Although it had always been in my heart.
