The earth has the sun

For life to grow and thrive.

It’s the sole reason we survive.

If it were to go dark

Our world would be far from a walk in the park.

That warm comforting breeze would turn to ice.

Next thing you know

It’s the butterfly effect

Taking its course.

All because the Earth lacks one source.

The point here is to say

You are our sun day by day.

The light of our life we need you to grow.

If one day you went dark

Our lives would be far from a walk in the park.

Our sun helps us become better each day.

You are my light

I need you

And thank you
